Despite the drive to deliver clean and pleasant local environments, continuing budget cuts are beginning to take their toll, with public satisfaction levels falling as local authorities try to cope with less resources for everyday cleansing, as well as increased anti-social behaviour regards fly-tipping and littering. The APSE (Association for Public Service Excellence) Street Cleansing Seminar will show how local authorities are meeting these challenges by changing service delivery in innovative ways and using partner and community support thus allowing more sustainable services to be delivered.
