Scarab has recently delivered 6 brand-new sweepers to North Tyneside Council, bolstering their road cleansing fleet with the very latest in sweeping technology. Dressed in North Tyneside’s instantly recognisable Silver paint, the latest additions are comprised of three Merlin 62 truck-mounts and three RAVO R1 sub-compact sweepers.
The Merlin 62 is the perfect truck-mounted sweeper for municipal applications, delivering impressive on-station time thanks to its excellent payload and the environmental benefits of Scarab’s trusted single engine hydrostatic system. While the RAVO R1, with its articulated cabin, is a dedicated sub-compact sweeper that delivers powerful sweeping and suction performance in urban spaces.
Speaking on the newest additions to the fleet, North Tyneside’s Operation Manager, Steve Whitworth comments: “We are delighted to add a further 6 Scarab sweepers to our large cleansing fleet to help keep the streets of North Tyneside clean and safe for residents. These sweepers are just the latest additions to our fleet, in a relationship that has spanned over three decades with Scarab.
We opted for Scarab's Merlin 62 as our latest truck-mounted sweepers due to the machine's ease of use, exceptional performance and superior payload. In addition to this, we have also added 3 brand-new sub-compact sweepers to our fleet to deliver improved urban cleansing services in pedestrian areas”.
